State and Territory Organisations
Links to AIDS Councils, people living with HIV/AIDS, sex worker organisations and other groups in your state or territory. These organisations can provide information and resources and can also refer you to local HIV groups, HIV testing clinics etc. Many of these groups welcome volunteer assistance.

The AIDS Trust of Australia This national AIDS Charity raises awareness and distributes grants for care, support, education and research.
AIVLThe Australian Intravenous League and National Hepatitis C Program. Peak organisation representing State and Territory drug user groups.
ASHM The Australasian Society for HIV Medicine.
The Australian Hepatitis Council website provides information on viral hepatitis to people with hepatitis C, their families, friends and carers.
The Australian Health Promotion Association The peak health promotion body for people interested or involved in the practice, research and study of health promotion.

Consumers' Health Forum The national peak organisation providing a voice for all health consumers. The site has a variety of publications on health consumer rights and some useful links.
Diversity Health Institute Clearinghouse is a central access point for information on multicultural health in Australia and contains a number of databases for easy searching, including services, resources, research, training and events.
Health Translations Directory This directory, an initiative of the Victorian Department of Human Services, links to multilingual health resources.
HIV/AIDS Positive Stories Personal stories, images, message board for people living with HIV
HIV/AIDS & Hepatitis C Information Website This is a multilingual website with HIV/AIDS and Hep C information in a number of community languages. Languages used include: Amharic, Arabic, Bosnian, Burmese, Chinese, Croation, English, Greek, Indonesian, Italian, Khmer, Korean, Macedonian, Serbian, Somali, Spanish, Tagaolog, Thai Turkish and Vietnamese. The site has been set up by the Multicultural HIV AIDS Project.

ADAHPS ADAHPS is a state-wide service that assists in the care and management of people with HIV and complex needs. Typically, clients may have a diagnosis of AIDS Dementia or a psychiatric illness complicating their HIV infection.
AIDS Council of NSW ACON is a non-government organisation based in the gay & lesbian communities and providing services to members of those communities including Indigenous people, transgender people and injecting drug users, to all people living with HIV/AIDS and to sex workers. Services include information, HIV support, referral, housing and legal advice, and a women's project.
Albion Street Centre The Albion Street Centre, a facility of South East Health deals exclusively with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C clinical management, counselling, research, prevention and education. The Centre provides free HIV testing, services for people with HIV and has an extensive library.
